PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Momoa Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Imyth Pear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drogo comes to the cage accompanied by Sadeness, Part 1 by Enigma. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Drogo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Drogo lands a jab-cross combination.

Pear shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pear showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like Pear is going to stand back up.
Drogo wants to get back to full guard but Pear has mounted him!
Drogo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Imyth Pear has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Drogo looks for a takedown but Pear sprawls well.

Drogo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Pear decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pear not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round but I would say that Momoa Drogo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pear. Drogo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pear fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Drogo to the ground. Pear is now in Drogo's guard.

Pear got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drogo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pear has managed to get both his arms back between Drogo's legs - danger averted.

Pear really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drogo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pear takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Drogo is desperately trying to improve his position but Pear has a good base and remains in mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pear is looking to defend but Drogo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pear! Drogo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pear taps out and this one is all over!
