Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tequila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Winchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tequila comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Leonard Winchester has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Tequila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonard Winchester!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester keeps the fight on the outside.
Tequila throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Winchester stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Tequila closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Winchester did well to prevent Tequila getting side control.
Winchester is trying to maintain the position but Tequila is very close to passing his half guard.
Tequila not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Winchester makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Winchester.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tequila missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tequila accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Winchester is looking for a triangle but Tequila pushes his legs off easily.

Tequila has Winchester pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tequila pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Winchester tumbling to the mat - Tequila dives into Winchester's guard.

Winchester jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tequila is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tequila and Winchester has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Winchester thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Winchester wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tequila, who protects the arm well.
Tequila is looking for a sweep.

Winchester throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Tequila gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Winchester to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Leonard Winchester hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Winchester swats away the attempt to clinch by Tequila.
Winchester shoots in but Tequila avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tequila leaves Winchester with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Winchester tries to sprawl but Tequila drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Tequila looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winchester with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Winchester is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tequila defends well.

Winchester is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Tequila frees his head nicely. Oh but Winchester has switched to an armbar! Tequila is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
