Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Deathgrip!
Funete pushes Deathgrip up against the cage in a clinch.
Funete jumps into guard, dragging Deathgrip to the mat.
Deathgrip thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Deathgrip keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Funete's head.
Deathgrip avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Funete has his foot on Deathgrip's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deathgrip works his way back into a safe position though.
Deathgrip postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Funete is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Deathgrip, into his guard.

Funete postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Deathgrip is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Funete is pressing down on Deathgrip's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Deathgrip cracks Funete with a solid left hand.
Funete pulls Deathgrip in to control the position.
Funete manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Deathgrip manages to get himself to full guard.
Deathgrip is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Funete is controlling him.
Funete throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Deathgrip works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Funete wants to control from the top but Deathgrip keeps moving.
Funete missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Funete has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Funete advances to half guard.
Deathgrip wants to control but Funete is keeping busy.
Deathgrip is trying to stand.
Funete winds up and cracks Deathgrip with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Funete passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Deathgrip!
Deathgrip is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Funete landing strikes, looking to finish!
Funete has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Deathgrip's face.

Funete postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Deathgrip looks a forlorn figure.
Deathgrip looks gassed!
Deathgrip is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Funete lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Funete landing strikes from the mount.
Funete punishing his opponent with strikes.
Funete lands a big shot to the head and Deathgrip winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
