Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cauliflower Ears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taec Cece (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taec Cece told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cauliflower Ears!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ears gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ears has knee on belly momentarily but Cece bucks him off and regains half guard.
Well, if Ears is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cece looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ears passes to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ears closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ears lands in his opponent's guard.

Ears got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cece has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ears has managed to get both his arms back between Cece's legs - danger averted.

Ears stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cece swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Ears has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
