The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wrecking Machine has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jabbar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jabbar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wrecking Machine is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jabbar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wrecking Machine.

Jabbar throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Wrecking Machine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A head kick from Jabbar lands but Wrecking Machine takes it in his stride.

and Jabbar counters with a head kick that drops Wrecking Machine to the mat! Wrecking Machine scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Wrecking Machine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jabbar keeps working.
Wrecking Machine is thwarting Jabbar's attempts to control the position.

Wrecking Machine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jabbar did well to prevent Wrecking Machine getting side control.
Jabbar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jabbar tries to get out of the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wrecking Machine connects with a nice short shot to Jabbar's temple.
Jabbar has hold of Wrecking Machine's hands but Wrecking Machine slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wrecking Machine is stalling here. Jabbar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wrecking Machine seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jabbar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Wrecking Machine tries to buck Jabbar off but Jabbar is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wrecking Machine wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Jabbar has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Wrecking Machine's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Wrecking Machine is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Jabbar!
