Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Babsie Paneda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Spider!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Paneda counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spider won't be happy with that.
Spider struggling a bit here.
Spider is trying to get back to his feet.

Paneda is trying to get an arm triangle but Spider is defending well.
Paneda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spider on the ground.
Paneda works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Spider is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Spider is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Paneda is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Spider won't allow Paneda to pass to mount.

Paneda keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Paneda is pressing down on Spider's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spider is holding on for now.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Paneda is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Spider manages to get to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Paneda works over Spider with some ground and pound from guard.
Paneda is looking to advance position but Spider has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Paneda is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Spider tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Spider looks gassed!
Paneda tries to lock up and control but Spider gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Paneda working to try and regain half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Paneda is trying desperately to improve position.
Spider avoids the attempt from Paneda to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paneda could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Paneda controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paneda is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Paneda is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Spider tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Paneda is in all sorts of trouble here.

Spider tries to keep at a distance but Paneda has taken the fight into the clinch.

Spider might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paneda kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Paneda wants to control from the top but Spider keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spider is trying to control the position but Paneda postures up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Babsie Paneda just wasn't active enough.
Spider tries to land a front kick but Paneda steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Paneda moves into the clinch.
Spider is trying to drag Paneda to the mat but Paneda just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Paneda tries to pull guard but Spider won't allow it.
Paneda keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spider's efforts to push away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spider is trying to break the clinch but Paneda is controlling him.
A frustrated look appears on Paneda's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Paneda misses with an elbow over the top.
The referee is keeping an eye on Paneda - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Spider landing knees to the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Spider is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Spider misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Spider managing to block the knees to the body from Paneda.
Paneda stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Paneda tries to break the clinch but Spider is controlling the position.
Paneda tries to land knees in the clinch but Spider avoids the damage to the body.
Spider tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Paneda smiles and moves away.
Spider tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paneda was well out of range. Poor timing from Spider.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Spider takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Paneda clinches.
Spider keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Paneda's efforts to push away.
Spider jumps guard but Paneda stands there with Spider around his waist. Spider gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Paneda pushes Spider back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Spider tries for a takedown but Paneda manages to get underhooks.

Paneda manages to pull guard.
Paneda not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Paneda has a closed guard, preventing Spider from standing up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Paneda is looking for a triangle but Spider pushes his legs off easily.
Paneda wants to sweep but no luck.

Paneda is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Spider tries to stand but Paneda is controlling from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Babsie Paneda has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Spider throws a sloppy head kick and Paneda moves out of range easily.

Spider is looking for a sweep.
Paneda remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
