The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins misses with a right hand

and Fernandez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jenkins!
Jenkins sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jenkins wants to improve his position but Fernandez is controlling well.
Fernandez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fernandez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fernandez stands up and waves to Jenkins to follow him.

Jenkins throws a right hand that Fernandez ducks under and follows up with a left that Fernandez also avoids with ease.

Jenkins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fernandez moves away.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
