PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knowles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Knowles shoots in but Carwin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Carwin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Knowles takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Carwin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Carwin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Knowles takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Carwin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Knowles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Knowles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Carwin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knowles!
Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Carwin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Knowles looks a forlorn figure.

Carwin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Carwin lands a hook that stumbles Knowles back into the cage. Carwin follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Knowles to the canvas! Carwin pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Knowles has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
