Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nomi Mae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santi Jimara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimara comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Killing in the name. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Santi Jimara has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nomi Mae's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimara slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Jimara misses the target.

Mae looking to score a takedown here. Jimara is defending well but Mae drives through and ends up in Jimara's guard.

Mae drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mae jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jimara wants to stand up but Mae is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mae won't allow Jimara to sweep him here.

Mae stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jimara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jimara is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Nomi Mae has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jimara misses with a looping right.
Mae blocks a jab.
Jimara swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mae.

It looks like Nomi Mae has been cut.
Mae shoots in for a takedown but Jimara shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mae looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jimara clobbers Mae with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jimara moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jimara's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mae connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jimara scrambles back to his feet.
Jimara has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A slow jab from Jimara misses its intended target.
Jimara throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jimara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jimara defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mae.
Santi Jimara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mae uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jimara.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mae displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jimara throws out the jab.

Oh Mae is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jimara throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mae stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jimara lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jimara throws a looping overhand right but Mae ducks down to avoid it.
Santi Jimara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mae shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jimara pinned against the cage. Jimara gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nomi Mae. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jimara catches Mae with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jimara looks to land a combination but Mae avoids it well.
Mae takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Jimara drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Mae right on the button. Mae goes down! Jimara follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Jimara gets the win via TKO!
