The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasyl cracks Harper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Chris Harper has been cut.
Harper throws a right hand that Vasyl ducks under and follows up with a left that Vasyl also avoids with ease.
Harper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vasyl is fending him off so far but Harper persists. Nope, Vasyl circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut there from Vasyl.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harper is defended easily by Vasyl.
Harper gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Harper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vasyl moves into the clinch.
Harper fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Harper throws a head punch that misses.
Vasyl scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Vasyl lands an elbow inside that Harper shrugs off.
Harper is trying to force a seperation but Vasyl has the dominant position.
Vasyl scores a nice knee to the body.
Vasyl lands a knee to the body.
Harper looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vasyl scores with a nice hook to the head.
Vasyl manages to break the clinch.
Vasyl lands a right hook to the body.
Vasyl moves into range and clinches up with Harper.
A nice left hand lands by Vasyl.
Vasyl lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Vasyl scores with a nice hook to the head.
Harper takes an elbow to the forehead.
Vasyl escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vasyl's corner calls for a 1-2. Vasyl obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vasyl lands a jab to Harper's midsection.
Vasyl drops Harper with a left right combo! Vasyl follows him down to the ground into side control.
Harper is rocked!
Vasyl scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Harper is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Vasyl can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Vasyl!
