The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flare manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lavin on his heels. He'll look to pass Lavin's guard now, I'm sure.

Lavin is looking for a triangle but Flare pushes his legs off easily.
Flare wants to control from the top but Lavin keeps moving.

Lavin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Flare looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Lavin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flare gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lavin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Flare should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lavin has tightened it up now! Flare should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
