Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kolt Kannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Caputo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kolt Kannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joel Caputo!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caputo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kannon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Caputo drops back looking for a leg! Kannon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kannon manages to kick Caputo off! Caputo jumps back into Kannon's guard.

Caputo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kannon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Caputo, into his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Kolt Kannon will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Caputo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Joel Caputo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
