Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Arashikage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mousasi comes to the cage accompanied by ZERO ONNNNNEEEEEEEEE. Arashikage has chosen Metallica & DJ Spooky - For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music. Thomas Arashikage has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mousasi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Arashikage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mousasi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Arashikage fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mousasi lands a really nice looking cross but Arashikage seems unphased.
Mousasi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mousasi misses with the ground and pound.
Mousasi wants to stand but Arashikage is controlling his arm.
Mousasi throws an elbow but Arashikage slips to the side and avoids it well.
Mousasi wants to stand but Arashikage has his arm trapped.
Arashikage is not content to let Mousasi control the position.
Mousasi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Arashikage tries to clinch there but Mousasi circles away.
Arashikage tries to keep at a distance but Mousasi has taken the fight into the clinch.

Arashikage keeps control of Mousasi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mousasi wants to stand but Arashikage is controlling the position.
Mousasi lands some strikes from the bottom.
Mousasi is pulling down on Arashikage's head to control his posture.
Arashikage missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mousasi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mousasi wants to stand up but Arashikage is controlling him.
Arashikage with a flurry of punches that miss.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Arashikage takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Arashikage avoids a punch combination nicely.
Arashikage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mousasi is in all sorts of trouble here.

Mousasi is working hard here to advance position.
Mousasi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Arashikage tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mousasi tries to lock up and control but Arashikage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mousasi is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Arashikage cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mousasi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Arashikage landing strikes, looking to finish!
Arashikage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Arashikage prevents Mousasi from getting the reversal.
A nice elbow there by Arashikage.
Mousasi squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Mousasi is in all sorts of trouble here.

Arashikage lands with some strikes.
Mousasi tries to hold on but Arashikage postures up.
Arashikage won't let Mousasi get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Mousasi is trying to escape the mount.
Mousasi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mousasi tries to get out of the position.
Mousasi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arashikage on the ground.
You get the feeling that Mousasi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Mousasi throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Mousasi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mousasi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Arashikage is landing with some decent strikes but Mousasi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mousasi is trying desperately to improve position.
Arashikage in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Arashikage throwing strikes here but Mousasi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Arashikage looking to ground and pound but Mousasi is blocking nicely.
Mousasi tries to reverse the position but Arashikage maintains control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mousasi trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gegard Mousasi dominated that round.
That's time! Mousasi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Arashikage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mousasi.
Mousasi lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Arashikage can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Mousasi and Arashikage drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Mousasi.
