PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between It Kiefa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Crichton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiefa comes to the cage accompanied by Sequoia Throne. John Crichton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, It Kiefa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Crichton!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiefa lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kiefa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kiefa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Crichton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Crichton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kiefa throws a sloppy head kick and Crichton moves out of range easily.
Crichton moves out of range as Kiefa throws a body kick.
Crichton misses with an uppercut
and Kiefa counters with a big head kick but Crichton shrugs it off.
Kiefa lands a head kick. Crichton smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kiefa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kiefa.
Kiefa throws a shot to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kiefa.
Crichton looks gassed!
Good leg kick by Kiefa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Crichton looks to throw the jab but Kiefa is out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crichton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kiefa - the referee stops the clock and Crichton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kiefa. Crichton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kiefa lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kiefa connects with a solid leg kick.
Kiefa scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kiefa.
Kiefa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kiefa connects with a leg kick. Crichton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Kiefa thuds his shin into the meat of Crichton's side.
Kiefa attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Kiefa lands a big head kick that sends Crichton to the canvas! Kiefa follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
