The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitus throws a leg kick
and Pardo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jitus thinking.
Jitus delivers a nice body kick.
Pardo catches Jitus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jitus misses with a leg kick
and Pardo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jitus blocks a head kick by Pardo.
Jitus lands a high kick!

It looks like Paul Pardo has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Pardo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Mc Jitus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Pardo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

A nice inside leg kick there by Pardo. That's going to slow Jitus down.
Pardo thuds his shin into the meat of Jitus's side.

Pardo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pardo clobbers Jitus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Pardo counters with a body kick that stops Jitus in his tracks momentarily.
Pardo scores with a shot to the body.
Pardo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jitus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Pardo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jitus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pardo can pounce on him.
Pardo scores with a nice strike.
Pardo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jitus doesn't seem bothered though.
Jitus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pardo lands with a shot to the body.
Pardo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Pardo pushes Jitus away with a front kick.
Pardo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pardo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jitus's head.

Mc Jitus's cut is getting worse.
Pardo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A jab from Pardo finds it's way through Jitus's defenses.

Jitus is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pardo throws a quick head kick that knocks Jitus silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Pardo is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
