Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milligan throws a leg kick but Minimoto sees it coming and moves out of range.
Milligan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Minimoto stalks Milligan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Milligan's face. Milligan staggers backwards, shaken.
Milligan wants to land a leg kick but Minimoto is out of range.
Minimoto throws a series of strikes that have Milligan backpedaling.

Minimoto is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Minimoto.

Milligan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Minimoto just stands there and leans against the cage.

Milligan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Milligan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Minimoto is trying to keep Milligan in close.
Milligan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Minimoto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Minimoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Milligan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Milligan wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Minimoto's closed guard. He's half up but Minimoto has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Minimoto pivots and extends the arm, Milligan falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Minimoto! Well done that man!
