The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mouse is defended easily by Thompson.
Thompson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Mouse throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mouse off to one side.
Thompson lands a really nice looking cross but Mouse seems unphased.
Mouse misses with a takedown attempt - Thompson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mighty Mouse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mouse fails to land the takedown.
Thompson throws a right and a left that Mouse avoids nicely.
Thompson throws a jab when Mouse was well out of range.
Thompson stuffs the takedown attempt from Mouse. Mouse gets slowly back to his feet.
Mouse closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Mouse shoots and misses
enabling Thompson to counter with a crisp jab.
Mouse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thompson pinned against the cage. Thompson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thompson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mouse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mouse shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Thompson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mouse.
Mouse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thompson.

Thompson throws out a loose jab but Mouse uses good head movement to avoid it.

Thompson throws an overhand right that drops Mouse like a sack of potatoes! Thompson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
