The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Johnson blocks the strikes from Rain.
Rain managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Johnson.
Rain gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rain is positioning himself well to prevent Johnson advancing to mount.

Rain looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rain won't allow Johnson to pass to mount.
Rain wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rain wants to get back to full guard.
Johnson is pressing down on Rain's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rain is holding on for now.
The fighters are battling for position here. Rain manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rain is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
