The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamato tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Franco shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Franco wants to take Yamato's back but he can't do it this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franco goes for an armbar but Yamato turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Yamato.

Franco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yamato gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yamato stands up from Franco's guard - Yamato perhaps looking for a knockout.
Franco looks for a takedown but Yamato sprawls well.

Yamato instigates a clinch.

Franco shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamato but Yamato pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Franco shoots in and drives through. Yamato sprawls well.
Kira Yamato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Macho Franco.
Yamato scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Macho Franco has been cut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Franco.
Franco looks gassed!

Franco tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Franco has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Franco goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Yamato has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Franco but great work by Yamato.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Yamato lands a nice shot that snaps Franco's head back.
Yamato ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Franco out cold! The fight is over!
