Mendes misses with a takedown attempt
and Negrizolli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Matheus Mendes has been cut.

Mendes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Negrizolli to the mat! Negrizolli manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Negrizolli trying to keep a closed guard but Mendes is proving a slippery customer.
Mendes wants to stand but Negrizolli has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
