Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Ganso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ed Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ed Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big head kick from Ganso and Silva is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Ganso fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva has hold of one of Ganso's legs. Ganso is fighting the takedown attempt but Silva gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Ganso is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ganso manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Ganso's guard.

Ganso can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ganso doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Ganso defends the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silva in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ganso tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Silva!
