PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Baldoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baldoza has chosen Chop Suey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kevin Ung has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baldoza fails with the takedown

and Ung counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ung is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ung is pushing down on Baldoza's leg trying to pass to half guard. Baldoza is fighting to maintain full guard but Ung has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ung is controlling the pace.

Ung seems to be working for a kimura but Baldoza defends the submission attempt.

That's time! Ung's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Ung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Baldoza did well to prevent Ung getting side control.

Baldoza is looking to improve his position.
Baldoza wants to control but Ung is keeping busy and won't allow it.

We're going to have a standup here because Kevin Ung wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Ung counters with a single leg into guard. Baldoza didn't expect that.

Baldoza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
