PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryant comes to the cage accompanied by B Boy Stance. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alex Romero was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Romero!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Bryant looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Romero is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bryant sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Romero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Romero was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Alex Romero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Romero throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Bryant has his hands clasped together but Romero breaks the hold and Bryant is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Romero!
