Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Mustaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Elric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustaine comes to the cage accompanied by This Day We Fight! by Megadeth. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elric lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Elric misses with a takedown
and Mustaine connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Elric crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mustaine - the referee stops the clock and Elric gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mustaine. Elric manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Elric walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Elric has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mustaine is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mustaine fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Elric.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Elric wants to get back to his feet but Mustaine is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Elric is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dave Mustaine wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Elric throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mustaine's waist but Mustaine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Elric off to one side.
