Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie DeMarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie DeMarino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Koscheck!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeMarino shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Koscheck manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
DeMarino throws a big right hand that misses.

DeMarino drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Koscheck dives on top into guard.

DeMarino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koscheck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koscheck is looking to stand up but DeMarino won't let him.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aaron Koscheck hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

enabling DeMarino to counter with a crisp jab.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

DeMarino changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Koscheck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from DeMarino are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
DeMarino lands a nice forearm strike.
DeMarino postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
DeMarino fails to land a wild elbow strike.
DeMarino creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Koscheck sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

DeMarino thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koscheck's head.
Koscheck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronnie DeMarino will probably get the nod.

Ronnie DeMarino overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeMarino is on top in guard.

DeMarino drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koscheck looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koscheck looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koscheck!
