Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knapp bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Knapp controlling the position.
Dydra is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Knapp asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dydra is trying to control Knapp's posture but Knapp avoids it.

Knapp is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dydra is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dydra accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Knapp is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Knapp holds on and takes a little breather.
Let's hope that Knapp has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jay Knapp just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dydra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Knapp looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Knapp takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Dydra takes a little break here. Knapp wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Dydra postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dydra gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
