Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ninjas Chirichtus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a few strikes there.

Chirichtus clinches.
Smith wants to break the clinch but can't.
Smith looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Chirichtus gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chirichtus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Chirichtus manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Chirichtus has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith stops a takedown attempt from Chirichtus.

Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chirichtus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith wants to stand but Chirichtus has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chirichtus holds on and takes a little breather.

Chirichtus looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.
Chirichtus throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Smith tries to stand but Chirichtus is controlling from the bottom.

Smith wants to stand and escape but instead Chirichtus has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Chirichtus keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Smith's head.
Chirichtus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Smith is looking to stand back up but Chirichtus counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Smith.

Chirichtus decides to stand up.
Chirichtus walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Ninjas Chirichtus has been cut.
Chirichtus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Chirichtus persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chirichtus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Chirichtus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ninjas Chirichtus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Come on Chirichtus - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Chirichtus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chirichtus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick from Chirichtus lands but Smith takes it in his stride.
Ninjas Chirichtus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith scores with a three punch combo!

Chirichtus is rocked!
Chirichtus is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chirichtus.
Oh Chirichtus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Chirichtus's jaw. Chirichtus's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Smith does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
