Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BJ Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Death Row (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, BJ Walters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Death Row!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Row moves away.
Row is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Walters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Walters slows the pace down in half guard.
Row is trying to stand.
Row won't allow Walters to pass to mount.
Walters content to control rather than advance.

We're going to have a standup here because BJ Walters wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Row looks to land a right hand but Walters moved out of range.

Walters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Row wants to hold on but Walters pushes him away.

Walters's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Walters jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Row is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Row and Walters has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walters shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Row is trying to defend but Walters finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Walters throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Row tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Walters is in Row's guard.
Row can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walters controls the pace.
Row is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
