Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Pollock!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Estregan Jr misses
enabling Pollock to counter with a crisp jab.

and Pollock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Estregan Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pollock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Estregan Jr tries to clinch but Pollock moves out of range.
Pollock shoots in looking for a takedown but Estregan Jr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pollock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pollock is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Pollock works to advance to full mount. Estregan Jr defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Let's hope that Pollock has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Estregan Jr really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Pollock's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
What can Estregan Jr do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Pollock is not going to allow Estregan Jr to sit and survive in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Estregan Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pollock counters with a big head kick but Estregan Jr shrugs it off.

and Pollock decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Estregan Jr's guard.
Pollock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Estregan Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pollock is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Estregan Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Estregan Jr tries to get out of the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pollock remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Estregan Jr feints a jab promting Pollock to slip. Estregan Jr then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pollock slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Henry Pollock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pollock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
