Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dieter Dietoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyde Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clyde Smith!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Dietoris.

Dietoris lands a left and a right that send Smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Dietoris thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Smith is rocked!

It looks like Clyde Smith has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Dietoris finish him?
Dieter Dietoris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith fails with the takedown

and Dietoris moves into the clinch.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.

Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dietoris fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Dietoris counters with a head kick that drops Smith to the mat! Smith scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Dietoris moves into the clinch.
Dietoris is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dietoris down to the mat. Dietoris avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Smith takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Smith gets the takedown into side control.
Smith has knee on belly momentarily but Dietoris bucks him off and regains half guard.

Smith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dietoris's head.
Smith is looking to advance position but Dietoris won't allow it.
Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dietoris is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.

Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Smith has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Dietoris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Smith wants to take a breather but Dietoris is having none of it.

Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dietoris doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith.

Smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith content to control rather than advance.

Dietoris throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Dietoris throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dietoris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
