Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Lachance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Kappa!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kappa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lachance.
Lachance tries for a takedown but Kappa circles away easily
and Kappa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Tim Lachance has been cut.
Kappa stuffs the takedown.
Kappa chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kappa misses the body punch

and Lachance counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kappa's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lachance postures up.
Lachance seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lachance wants to control from the top but Kappa keeps moving.
Lachance tries to free his leg and advance position but Kappa is retaining full guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lachance.

Kappa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kappa tries to lock up and control but Lachance gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kappa sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Kappa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kappa.

We're going to have a standup here because Tim Lachance wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A swing and a miss from Kappa.
Kappa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lachance.
Kappa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

enabling Kappa to counter with a crisp jab.

and Lachance counters with a single leg into guard. Kappa didn't expect that.

Kappa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lachance stacks Kappa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lachance!

Kappa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Lachance wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kappa is now in half guard.

Kappa is trying to control the action in half guard but Lachance is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lachance is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lachance wants to get back to full guard but Kappa has mounted him!
