Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Naomichi Kobashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zani Kallark!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kobashi scores with a takedown into Kallark's guard.
Kallark wants to sweep but no luck.
Kallark should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kallark has his feet on Kobashi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kallark has eaten all the pies!

Kallark looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kobashi has picked Kallark up and slammed him! Kallark can't keep hold of the triangle and Kobashi manages to pass to side control!

Kobashi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kobashi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kallark wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Kobashi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kallark, who protects the arm well.
Kobashi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kallark avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kobashi.
Kallark sneaks back into half guard.
Kallark is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kobashi is looking to advance position but Kallark won't allow it.

Kallark tries to get to full guard but Kobashi has control of the leg.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kallark is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kobashi off and has taken his back!

Kallark is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kobashi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kallark's guard. Nice work there by Kobashi.

Kobashi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kallark is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
