Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Beto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beto has chosen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j4oXUTkn7s as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jose Aldo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo throws a body kick that misses.

Beto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Beto thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Beto wants to work for an arm triangle but Aldo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Beto looking for a submission but Aldo manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Beto throws a strike but Aldo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Aldo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Aldo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aldo has managed to get both his arms back between Beto's legs - danger averted.
Beto wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Aldo is now in half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Beto is bucking up trying to escape but Aldo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Aldo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Beto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Beto tries to hold on but Aldo postures up.

Aldo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beto is desperately trying to improve his position but Aldo has a good base and remains in mount.
Aldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Aldo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

BOOM! Aldo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Aldo cracks Beto with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Beto is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Aldo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Aldo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beto.

A chopping leg kick lands by Aldo .

A slapping body kick lands there for Aldo .
Aldo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Adriano Beto has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Beto if he has to take too many more of those.

Beto is rocked!
Aldo rushes Beto with punches - Beto moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Beto goes down! Aldo follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
