Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heristos Merialoser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Sibayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sibayan has chosen Stand up and shout as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Merialoser closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sibayan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Merialoser pulls his leg out and moves away.
Merialoser stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Merialoser wants it to stay on the feet.

Heristos Merialoser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Sibayan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sibayan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Merialoser's guard.

Sibayan in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Merialoser tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sibayan!
