Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krayzie Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Deftones - Beware. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bone's choice of entrance music: Thuggish Ruggish Bone. Krayzie Bone has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mickey Davis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mickey Davis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Krayzie Bone!
The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bone tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bone to the ground. Bone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Davis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bone throws a left and a right that both miss

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bone tries to strike from the bottom.
Bone is adopting a defensive guard.
Davis with a flurry of punches that miss.
Davis trying to control but Bone is working from the bottom.
Bone wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Davis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Davis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis wants to control from the top but Bone keeps moving.
Davis stopping the sweep attempt from Bone.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Davis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Davis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bone blocks a head kick by Davis.
Bone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mickey Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davis.
Bone scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Davis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Davis trying to control the action but Bone is working from the bottom.
Davis scoring with punches and elbows.
Bone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Davis wants to take a breather but Bone is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bone trying to hold on to Davis's head to control him but Davis postures up.
Davis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bone is refusing to be controlled, as Davis sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is stalling here. Bone is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Davis seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bone has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bone stands up and beckons Davis to his feet.
Bone works over Davis's head and body with a nice combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bone's waist but Bone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Bone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bone has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Davis sizes up Bone with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bone throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease.
Davis tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Davis will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Bone counters with a straight right hand.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis tries to clinch but Bone is having none of it.
Mickey Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jab, jab by Bone - just one landing.


Davis is rocked!
Bone fakes the body blow, causing Davis to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Davis goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Krayzie Bone! Krayzie Bone retains his light heavyweight title!
