Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gary Grice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos has chosen Blur - Song 2 as his entrance music. Carl Ramos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Grice wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Ramos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grice has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramos has managed to get both his arms back between Grice's legs - danger averted.

Ramos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Grice doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ramos.

Ramos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ramos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Grice looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Grice looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Grice!

Grice looks up at the clock and then as Ramos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Grice smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Grice is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ramos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ramos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grice wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Grice has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ramos wants to hold on but Grice pushes him away.
