Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roland Deschain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esa Akerlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deschain comes to the ring accompanied by Kid Rock - American Bad Ass. Akerlund has chosen Rainer Friman - Valkeat vaunut as his entrance music. Akerlund has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain lands with a nice combination. Akerlund backs away looking to recover.
Akerlund looks gassed!
Deschain pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Deschain looks to land a right hand but Akerlund moved out of range.

Deschain lunges at Akerlund with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Akerlund's hand.
Deschain throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Deschain throws the left hand but Akerlund avoids the punch easily.
Deschain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deschain lands a jab.
Deschain clobbers Akerlund with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Deschain lands a nice shot to the body.

Deschain ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Akerlund staying out of range there.
Deschain with a jab.
Akerlund moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Deschain misses with an uppercut.
Deschain throws a low kick but Akerlund avoids it.
Deschain tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Deschain scores with a nice strike.
Deschain jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Deschain lands a body shot.
Deschain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Deschain is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akerlund takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Akerlund blocks a low kick nicely.
An inside leg kick lands from Deschain.
Deschain scores with a nice head shot.
Deschain with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The crowd cheers as Deschain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Akerlund doesn't seem phased though.
Deschain connects with a solid leg kick.

Deschain closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Akerlund! Deschain dives in looking to finish! Akerlund is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
