Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sweeney Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Grim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Todd's entrance music is Never Forget, Never Forgive... A fine choice. Rick Grim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sweeney Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Grim!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grim slips a jab and a cross from Todd.
Todd lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grim circles away quickly and effectively.
Grim tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Todd paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Todd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Todd tries to keep at a distance but Grim has taken the fight into the clinch.

Todd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Grim scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Grim stalling away here and it's allowed Todd to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Grim throws a strike but Todd rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Todd is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grim wants to sweep here but Todd controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Todd is pushing down on Grim's leg trying to pass to half guard. Grim is fighting to maintain full guard but Todd has managed to sneak the leg through.
Grim is trying to control but can't.
Todd content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Grim tries to roll over but Todd keeps him under control.
Todd throwing shots but Grim is blocking nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Grim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Todd tries to avoid it but Grim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Todd to the ground. Todd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Todd stalks Grim and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Grim's face. Grim staggers backwards, shaken.
Todd lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Grim backs up against the cage.
Todd swinging wildly here.
Nice jab there from Todd.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grim takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sweeney Todd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Todd fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Grim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Todd circles away.
Grim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Todd sprawls well. Todd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grim gets slowly back to his feet.
Sweeney Todd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Grim.

and Todd counters with a three punch combo that has Grim backing up. Grim nods at Todd to acknowledge the strikes.

Grim is rocked!
Todd lands a right hook to the body.
Grim is still on wobbly legs! Can Todd finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grim takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Todd has cracked Grim with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Todd lands another huge swinging hook and Grim tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Grim, before Todd can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sweeney Todd!
