The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sol Jr looks for the body kick but Shears saw that one coming.

Shears throws a looping overhand right but Sol Jr ducks down to avoid it.

Shears is looking to control Sol Jr's arms but Sol Jr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shears has his back to the cage.
Sol Jr blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Shears fails to land.
Sol Jr lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shears backwards.
Shears goes for a takedown attempt but Sol Jr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Shears closes the distance and clinches up with Sol Jr, looking for a takedown. Shears pushes Sol Jr against the cage but Sol Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
YB Sol Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Shears.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sol Jr. Shears does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sol Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
