Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Snerve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hitokage Hakaisha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Damien Snerve has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snerve falls off balance throwing a combination

and Hakaisha counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hakaisha distracts Snerve with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hakaisha's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hakaisha avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hakaisha is pushing down on Snerve's leg trying to pass to half guard. Snerve is fighting to maintain full guard but Hakaisha has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hakaisha is nestled in close to Snerve, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hakaisha connects with a nice short shot to Snerve's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hakaisha is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Snerve is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hakaisha's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hakaisha's back!

Hakaisha is trying to control. Snerve wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hakaisha moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Snerve has worked his arm free - good work by Snerve!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hitokage Hakaisha dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Snerve throws a series of punches but Hakaisha moves out of range.
Damien Snerve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snerve keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Snerve drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hakaisha is trying to keep Snerve in close.
Hakaisha is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
