The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith digs a good body shot into Fighter's ribs.
Fighter moves to clinch but Smith breaks away
and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Fighter.
Fighter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fighter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Smith checks a leg kick.
Fighter misses with a hook
and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fighter takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Fighter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Smith checks a leg kick nicely.
Fighter throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Smith lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fighter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fighter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fighter tries to work over Smith's front leg with a kick but Smith checks it.
Fighter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fighter counters with an inside leg kick.

Fighter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fighter thumps Smith with a low kick.
Fighter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.

A lazy left from Smith finds it's target.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fighter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith swings for the body but Fighter moves out of range.
Fighter lands a head kick!
A nice leg kick lands there from Fighter.
That kick from Fighter tenderised Smith's leg. Smith is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fighter misses with a jab to the body
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Fighter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fighter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Fighter misses with a shot to the body
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fighter misses the shot to the body.
Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A clash of legs there as Smith blocks the low kick.

Fighter connects with a solid leg kick.
Fighter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fighter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Smith moves out of range of the body kick from Fighter.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Fighter counters with a slapping leg kick.
Smith looks gassed!
Fighter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fighter throws a low kick, looking for Smith's leg but Smith calmly moves out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Smith checks a leg kick.
Fighter's corner calls for a 1-2. Fighter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Fighter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Smith counter with a right hand.
Fighter connects with a leg kick. Smith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fighter lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smith takes one to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fighter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Fighter's jab looks to have found its range, popping Smith under the eye.
Fighter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fighter cracks Smith with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fighter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Smith's sensitive parts.
Some wild striking there from Fighter.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fighter throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Fighter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fighter connects with a single shot there.
Fighter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.
Fighter lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.

Fighter lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Fighter finish him?
Smith takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Fighter misses with a wild body shot.
Fighter connects with a looping right hand.
Fighter throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Smith crashing down! Smith tries to stagger back to his feet but Fighter just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Smith asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
