Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Hilgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilgins comes to the cage accompanied by I Wish I Had An Angel by Nightwish. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hilgins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Flynn is trying to get back to half guard.

Hilgins stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hilgins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flynn's waist but Flynn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hilgins off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hilgins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A thudding body kick lands there by Hilgins!
Hilgins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Flynn fails to land with a series of punches.
Hilgins could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Flynn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hilgins counters with a takedown into side control.

Flynn wants to get back to his feet but Hilgins drags him back down.

Hilgins goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Flynn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hilgins's guard! Nice work there by Flynn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Flynn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hilgins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hilgins.
Hilgins tries to free his leg and advance position but Flynn is retaining full guard.
Hilgins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

and Hilgins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Flynn's guard now.

Flynn is trying to stand back up.
Hilgins struggling to keep hold of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flynn has hold of Hilgins's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
Hilgins has the hooks in. Flynn is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
