Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzy Wylde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze comes to the cage accompanied by John Blaze - Fat Joe Ft. Nas, Big Pun, Raekwon. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Blaze!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ozzy Wylde!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blaze scores with a jab.


It looks like Ozzy Wylde has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Blaze. Those never looked like landing.

Wylde has closed the distance and engaged Blaze in a clinch.

Wylde gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Blaze is trying to maintain the position but Wylde is very close to passing his half guard.
Wylde stalling.

Wylde is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Blaze sees it coming and defends easily.
Blaze has hold of Wylde's hands but Wylde slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Blaze tries to roll over but Wylde keeps him under control.
Wylde is thwarting Blaze's attempts to control the position.

Wylde looking for a submission but Blaze manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blaze has his foot on Wylde's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wylde works his way back into a safe position though.

Wylde drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blaze looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blaze looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blaze!

Wylde is looking for a sweep.

Blaze tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blaze has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wylde keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Wylde has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Blaze's face.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ozzy Wylde hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Blaze counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Wylde moves into range and clinches up with Blaze.

Wylde tries for a takedown but Blaze manages to get underhooks.

Wylde has picked Blaze up - he's going for a ride! Wylde dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wylde can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Blaze will probably get the nod.

Wylde wants to clinch up but Blaze keeps it at a distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Blaze is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wylde is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blaze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blaze's back!

You can see the frustration on Blaze's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

I would not like to be Blaze right now.
Let's hope that Wylde has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Wylde got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blaze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wylde has managed to get both his arms back between Blaze's legs - danger averted.

Blaze isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wylde stacks Blaze on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wylde!

Wylde has Blaze pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wylde pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blaze tumbling to the mat - Wylde dives into Blaze's guard.

Blaze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wylde can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wylde takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wylde fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
