Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sloat Gresham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robertson comes to the cage accompanied by The Proclaimers - 500 Miles. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Trevor Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sloat Gresham!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson throws a right hand that Gresham ducks under and follows up with a left that Gresham also avoids with ease.
Gresham misses with a combination
and Robertson counters with a stiff right hand.
Gresham wants to clinch
and Robertson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Robertson misses with a hook

and Gresham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gresham.
Gresham stands and throws Robertson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gresham tries to stand but Robertson is controlling his head.
Robertson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gresham's best efforts.
Gresham wants to take a breather but Robertson is having none of it.
Gresham passes the guard and advances to mount!
Robertson is trying desperately to improve position.
Gresham sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Gresham is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Robertson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Robertson!

Robertson tries to free his leg and advance position but Gresham is retaining full guard.

Robertson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Robertson trying to control but Gresham is working from the bottom.
Robertson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gresham swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gresham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Robertson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gresham keeping full guard, as Robertson tries to pass.
Robertson trying to control the position from guard on top but Gresham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gresham is on top in guard.
Gresham wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position.
Gresham controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Robertson pulls Gresham in close to his closed guard and prevents Gresham from doing any damage or advancing position.

Robertson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gresham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gresham slips nicely into half guard.
Gresham wants to pass the guard but Robertson is defending well.
Robertson is looking for a sweep. Gresham is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Robertson is not content to let Gresham control the position.
Robertson gets back to full guard.

Gresham drops back, looking for a kneebar! Robertson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Robertson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Robertson!
Gresham manages to work his way to half guard, despite Robertson's best efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gresham is looking to escape.
Robertson prevents Gresham from improving his position.
Robertson is controlling the pace.
Gresham trying to control from the bottom.
Robertson trying to control from half guard but Gresham is working away.
Gresham has hold of Robertson's hands but Robertson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gresham is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Robertson jumps into side control!

Robertson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sloat Gresham will probably get the nod.
That's time! Robertson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Robertson misses with a two punch combination.
Robertson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gresham moves away.
Gresham gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Robertson.
Trevor Robertson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gresham takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Robertson.
Gresham tries to clinch but Robertson moves out of range.
Gresham takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gresham slips a jab from Robertson.
Robertson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gresham sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Robertson counters with a single leg into guard. Gresham didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gresham wants to sweep but no luck.
Robertson postures up.
Trevor Robertson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Robertson wants to control from the top but Gresham keeps moving.
Gresham looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gresham has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Robertson has passed into side control.
Gresham is breathing heavily.
Gresham is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Robertson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Robertson lands a nice short elbow.

Gresham actively working from the bottom here.
Gresham tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Robertson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Robertson landing strikes from the mount and Gresham is in trouble!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Robertson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Gresham is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Trevor Robertson!
