Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marquess Vonhinten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva scores a takedown into full mount!
Vonhinten looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vonhinten is trying desperately to improve position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Vonhinten manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Vonhinten has wrist control.
Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Silva wants to control from the top but Vonhinten keeps moving.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vonhinten swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vonhinten is proving hard to escape from.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vonhinten really wants to buck Silva off and get back to his feet.

Vonhinten bucks up and throws Silva to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Vonhinten is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vonhinten manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Vonhinten's guard.

Vonhinten throws his legs up looking for a submission but Silva uses it to pass to side control.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vonhinten pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Silva decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Vonhinten wants to control but Silva postures up.

Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vonhinten is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vonhinten and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vonhinten seems a little lost for a moment, as Silva dominates the positioning.

Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vonhinten to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Vonhinten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vonhinten is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vonhinten's back instead.

Silva connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Vonhinten to escape the position.

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.
