The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Coller counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Igor Vovchanin has been cut.

and Coller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Coller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Coller is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vovchanin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Coller is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vovchanin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Coller is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vovchanin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vovchanin shrugs it off.

Coller moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Vovchanin has worked his arm free - good work by Vovchanin!

Vovchanin could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

You can see the frustration on Vovchanin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vovchanin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Coller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Vovchanin throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Vovchanin is looking to control Coller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vovchanin avoid being mounted?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Coller drops his hands momentarily and Vovchanin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Coller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vovchanin won't be happy with that.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vovchanin gets back to full guard.

Coller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vovchanin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Coller, into his guard.

Vovchanin stands up and beckons Coller to his feet.
Igor Vovchanin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vovchanin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Coller. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Coller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
