Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tnayrb Zruc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Cullen!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cullen tries to score with a low kick but Zruc moves his leg out of the way.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Zruc.
Zruc is looking to take a break and control but Cullen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Cullen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cullen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zruc wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Zruc tries to advance to mount but Cullen denies him.
Cullen throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Cullen is looking for a sweep.
Cullen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cullen is not content to let Zruc control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Zruc fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Zruc or perhaps it was just good defense by Cullen which made him look bad.
Cullen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Zruc tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cullen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cullen stuffs the takedown attempt from Zruc. Zruc gets slowly back to his feet.
Zruc misses with a wild body shot.
Zruc decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Zruc thows a huge punch but Cullen dodges it nicely.
Cullen wants to improve his position but Zruc is controlling well.
Zruc missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cullen trying to control but Zruc postures up.
Cullen manages to get to full guard.
Cullen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cullen scores with a short punch from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cullen is on top in guard.
Zruc is breathing heavily.
Cullen trying to control the position from guard on top but Zruc is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cullen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cullen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zruc manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cullen has Zruc in his guard.
Cullen pushes a forearm under Zruc's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Zruc is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
