Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakazu Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maeda is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wandering Star. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corey Pot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masakazu Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda is looking to clinch but Pot is avoiding it.
A jab from Pot does it's job there.
It looks like Masakazu Maeda has been cut.
Pot gets caught flat footed, as Maeda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Maeda trying to control but Pot is working from the bottom.
Maeda stays in close to Pot's body and controls the position.
Maeda tries to free his leg and advance position but Pot is retaining full guard.
Maeda's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Pot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pot tries to get out of the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Maeda wants to pass the guard but Pot is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Masakazu Maeda wasn't active enough on the ground.
Maeda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pot counters with a right hand that sends Maeda tumbling to the canvas! Can Pot finish him? He dives into Maeda's guard looking to do just that!
Maeda is rocked!
Pot postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Maeda covers up, he's hurt! Pot keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Pot and the ref steps in to end the fight! Pot can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corey Pot!
