Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derk Derkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Ganso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganso tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Derkin counters with a beautiful punch that sends Ganso to the canvas!

Ganso is rocked!

It looks like Renato Ganso has been cut.
Derkin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Ganso is still in real trouble! Can Derkin finish him?
Derkin stops Ganso from standing up.
Ganso seems to have recovered his senses.
Derkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Ganso is retaining full guard.

Ganso wants to stand but Derkin is controlling the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Derkin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Derkin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Derkin prevents Ganso from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Derk Derkin just wasn't active enough.
Ganso tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Derkin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ganso closes the distance looking to clinch

and Ganso is countered with a crisp right hand from Derkin that sends him to the canvas! Derkin follows him to the mat into side control.
Derkin is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ganso's shoulder. That is not cool.
Derkin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ganso prevents Derkin from improving position.
The referee asks Derkin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Derkin prefers to stall for the moment though.

We're going to have a standup here because Derk Derkin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Derkin lands a nice looking body shot.
Ganso looks gassed!
Derkin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gansos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ganso staying out of range there.
Derkin closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ganso! Derkin dives in looking to finish! Ganso is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derk Derkin!
