These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordova keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ward.
Ward showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cordova.
Ward takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Cordova lands with a straight right. Ward didn't see that one coming.
Cordova circles away from the clinch attempt.

Ward takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Ward throws a hook but Cordova avoids it easily.
Cordova throws a series of punches but Ward avoids them all with ease.
Cordova shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Ward counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Cordova! He's just covering up as Ward starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
